PASTOR
Dr. Brenda M. Alton is employed as Ombudsman for the City of Harrisburg. She is a graduate of Bradford Business School, Pittsburgh, PA and holds a Masters in Christian Education and Masters in Divinity from Virginia Union University, Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology. She recently received her Doctorate of Ministry from the Phoenix University of Theology.
She serves as Senior Pastor of Kingdom Embassy of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and CEO of Holistic Hands Community Development Corporation which was formed to build a bridge between faith-based organizations, businesses, government, and educational operations. She is founder and CEO of BMA Resources, Inc., which houses Sweet Love of Jesus Ministries. These ministries allow her to impact the marketplace with professional and Kingdom influence. In December 2008 she was appointed as the first female President of the Interdenominational Ministers’ Conference of Greater Harrisburg.
Always endeavoring to bring peace, justice, and opportunity for the community, Brenda serves on numerous community boards to connect resources and people. In July 2009, she was instrumental in leading the City of Harrisburg in a “Call to Action” that drew approximately 400 people, which included the Governor of Pennsylvania, the Mayor of the City of Harrisburg, State and Local Senators and Representatives, as well as law enforcement heads to align and counteract increasing violence and crime.
Because of her metamorphic life experiences, she passionately teaches the power of transformation she celebrates in her life today. As a trailblazer, Brenda is in demand as a speaker, life coach, writer and trainer for diverse national and international venues. She provides foundational principles for sustainable change, hope, and encouragement. She believes that Jesus is the ultimate change agent and she is called to introduce everyone to Him.
A native of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, Brenda now resides in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania with her supportive and loving husband, Pastor Thomas Alton and their two (2) pet boxers. Together they have a blended family of six (6) children and five grandchildren, along with numerous God-given children they have nurtured over the years.
